Dan Kendall – President of ABC Metals, Inc.
Dan began serving as President of ABC Metals in 2003 following over 20 years
in a variety of capacities of increasing responsibility with the company.
He joined the company in 1982 as a truck driver and prior to his current position,
also served as slitter operator and setup before assuming the role of warehouse manager of the Logansport servicecenter.
His broad experience in operations along with formal education at Indiana University have given Dan a view and
knowledge of the business that is unique in our industry. Dan and his wife Debbie are parents of two grown children.
ABC has also grown under Dan’s leadership and direction. From its original servicecenter in Logansport where
its corporate headquarters are located, ABC has expanded its operations to more effectively serve the North American markets.
The company’s El Paso, Texas servicecenter was established in 2002, followed by the creation of its Pharr, Texas servicecenter
in 2005. More than just its geographic footprint, record of excellent quality and responsiveness to its customers needs, ABC Metals’
success can be attributed to the value it places on integrity, commitment and service – the cornerstones of its relationships with
all stakeholders. He relates, "I believe to be successful in our industry you must foster relationships. It isn't about
selling business to business but rather it’s about providing real value in the business relationship from person to person."
He was elected to the CBSA Board of Directors in April 2007 and currently chairs its Supplier
Relations Committee, in addition to serving as Treasurer. The most rewarding aspects of his affiliation
with CBSA are the relationships and friendships he has made in our industry.
